Mark Hamill denied fumbling a line in "Star Wars: A New Hope," putting to rest decades of debate about whether or not he shouted "Leia" or "Carrie" during the film's famous victory celebration scene.

The Huffington Post reported that many die-hard fans of the Star Wars franchise have long argued that Hamill broke the fourth wall during the scene, calling out actress Carrie Fisher's real name instead of her character's name.

On Monday, however, Hamill, 64, told his fans on Twitter that he didn't shout either name, and instead shouted the sentence fragment "There she —" before being cut off by their celebratory embrace.

The debate about the seeming flub came to a head after YouTube user Screen Rant posted a video of "10 Movie Outtakes That Made It To The Big Screen," which alleges the "Carrie" line.

As fans discussed and argued about whether or not it was a true blooper, one user decided to ask Hamill himself.

The rest, as they say, is history.
