A Las Vegas shooting at the McCarran International Airport parking garage Monday night appears to have been related to domestic violence.

The shooting left two people, a man and woman, injured, KTNV-TV reported. The shooting suspect, identified as Jeffrey Brown, 68, was arrested for with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of discharging a firearm in a prohibited area, and one count of assault with a deadly weapon, the station reported.

Authorities booked Brown into the Clark County Detention Center where he remained Tuesday, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Brown was slated to make his first court appearance on Wednesday morning.

The two shooting victims were transported to the Sunrise Hospital, where both were listed in stable condition, KSNV-TV reported. Police told the station that both people, who have not been identified in media reports, were conscious when they were transported to the hospital.

Brown was arrested at the Veterans Administration Medical Center after the shooting happened at 6 p.m. on the sixth floor of the airport's parking garage, authorities told the Review-Journal.

Authorities said the victims had landed in Las Vegas just before the shooting, but police didn't say if they were local residents, visitors or where they were arriving from, the newspaper reported. A 15-year-old child also was at the shooting scene and taken into custody, but authorities did not identify his relationship to anyone involved in the incident.

Authorities said the male suspect had a previous relationship with the female victim.

"There has been no significant threat to this airport," The Metro airport bureau commander Capt. Vincent Cannito told the Review-Journal.

The Airport Connector, which ties the 215 Beltway to McCarran’s main terminals, was shut down as officers rushed to the scene, which caused traffic to back up.
