Kendall Jenner Bullied by Models Who See Her as Upstart

Kendall Jenner was bullied during New York Fashion Week by some models who felt the 18-year-old celebrity took a shortcut to get onto the big-time runway with them.

While Jenner made her professional modeling debut in Milan at a Fendi show this week, according to E! News, she found herself fending off catty attacks earlier this month from models in New York City who revolted at her presence on the catwalk, according to In Touch magazine.

"The other models worked so hard to get a spot on the runway and didn't think it was fair that she was there," one source told In Touch. "Some (of the models) put out their cigarettes in Kendall's drink. They thought she was getting special treatment and just weren't OK with it."

RadarOnline.com reported that while the models were working shows for some of the top designers like Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg and Tommy Hilfiger, backstage they were misbehaving with Jenner as the target.

"They started acting so bitchy," one source said, according to the RadarOnline.com report. "Models can be cruel, especially with someone new and entitled."

One source told E! News, though, if Jenner was bullied, she never noticed.

"She's too busy working hard and enjoying what she's doing," the source close to Jenner told E! News.

Jenner, daughter of Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner and Kris Jenner, has been featured on the hit reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," with her half-sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe. She has become a tabloid fixture along with the rest of her family members.

Jenner, though, seemed to be determined to break away from the reality show clan and concentrate on a modeling career, which won her rave reviews in New York.

"I think she is very driven," Victoria's Secret supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, 33, told E! News Tuesday. "She knows what she wants and she has been conquering the whole fashion world. It's amazing. I just think it's such an inspiration for a lot of girls who want to start modeling.

"You know, I've read a lot of her interviews, and I know her. I remember when she started and she's come a long way already. She's doing so well already. It's inspiring for everybody," Ambrosio said.
