Ohio Gov. John Kasich continued to campaign against Donald Trump this week, saying that the businessman doesn't have enough foreign policy experience to be president, and that it will take more than tweets to defeat our enemies abroad.

"How do you think Mr. Trump will handle Russia's Putin or ISIS? Fire off a barrage of tweets?" asked Kasich's chief strategist in a fundraising email sent out Monday. "Trump actually thinks we should let Russia take care of ISIS. He must not realize that ISIS is a threat to all of us."

The Kasich for America campaign pointed out that the two-term governor "put forward a plan months ago to wipe out ISIS."

The Monday attack from Kasich was complemented that same day with a new TV commercial that took Trump to task for seeming to flip-flop on the issue of whether or not the government can and should compile a database of Muslims in the U.S.

The ad, titled "Trump's Federal Government Religious Database," accuses the business mogul of supporting an immoral and nefarious cause: "Donald Trump says people should register with the government based on their religion."

The ad shows a clip of Trump saying as much to an NBC reporter, then shows another clip in which he seems to deny what he said previously. A final clip shows Trump telling reporter George Stephanopoulos he wouldn't rule out the possibility of databasing Muslims — a seeming flip-flop back to this original position.

After hitting Trump, Kasich's campaign highlighted the fact that, "No Republican has EVER won the White House without winning Ohio…A Donald Trump primary victory would not only result in a loss in Ohio, but a landslide victory for Hillary."

Kasich has been attacking Trump directly since earlier this month.

At one point in the feud, Trump went on a Twitter rant about Kasich's negative ads, threatening to sue him, and calling him "irrelevant."
