John Oliver has joined Disney's live-action "The Lion King" as a new addition to the voice cast.

According to The Wrap, the HBO "Last Week Tonight" host will be the voice of Zazu, the bird that serves as a royal adviser to King Mufasa and his son Simba in the Disney classic.

Oliver joins a cast that includes Donald Glover (Simba), James Earl Jones (reprising his role Mufasa), and Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner (Pumbaa and Timon).

While Oliver is new to "The Lion King," this isn't his first voiceover rodeo: He's been a voice for Paramount's "Amusement Park" and Sony Pictures' "The Smurfs."

He also has been a voice in animated television for "The Simpsons" and "Bob's Burgers."

Jon Favreau and Jeffrey Silver are handling "The Lion King" reboot, which is set for release July 19, 2019.

The original "Lion King" came out in 1994 and it was Rowan Atkinson who voiced Zazu's character in a British accent.

Twitter users thought the casting was pretty perfect.
