Jennifer Aniston will return to the small screen when she teams up with Reese Witherspoon to star in a new series about TV morning shows.

The show, which is yet to be named, is expected to be bid on by cable networks and streaming services such as HBO and Netflix, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series is the brainchild of HBO alum Michael Ellenberg and will be released under his recently launched film and TV production company, Media Res, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

Jay Carson of "House of Cards" is script writer, and Steve Kloves, the academy award winner behind "Harry Potter," will assist as executive producer alongside Witherspoon and Aniston.

Aside from several guest appearances, it has been awhile since Aniston has played any significant part in a TV series.

Her defining moment on the small screen was as Rachel Green in the smash hit "Friends," which enjoyed 10 successful seasons before ending in 2004.

Speaking to Variety in January, Aniston said she hoped to return to TV.

"I’ve thought about it a lot," she said.

"That’s where the work is. That’s where the quality is. At this point in my career, I want to be part of wonderful stories, exciting characters, and also just having a good time."

Witherspoon has enjoyed a rather successful stint on the small screen with her performance in "Big Little Lies," for which she earned an Emmy nomination USA Today noted.

Prior to that, the actress had made a number of guest appearances, including in an episode of "Friends" in 2000, where she played Aniston’s pampered sister, Jill.
