Jay Leno returned to "The Tonight Show" on Thursday, assisting host Jimmy Fallon with an opening monologue that made fun of President Donald Trump, the Clintons and celebrities including Colin Kaepernick and Caitlin Jenner.

Leno, who hosted "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" from 1992 to 2014, had a pretty lengthy cameo on Thursday's show, according to The New York Times. Some of the highlights included Leno's remarks about President Donald Trump, Anthony Weiner, and the Clintons.

"After Anthony Weiner's last scandal, he actually called Bill Clinton to apologize. See, that's when you know your life has gone off the rails: when your sexual behavior offends Bill Clinton," Leno said.

"Speaking of the Clintons, last Saturday, Bill asked Hillary to renew their wedding vows. Yeah. Well, it's something he does every April Fools' Day," he added.

Leno then took some jabs at the president and others during an "economy is so bad" bit.

"The economy is so bad, the only people jumping the White House fence are contractors trying to get Trump to pay their bills," Leno said. "The economy is so bad, Kellogg's had to sell Tony the Tiger to a Chinese zoo. The economy is so bad, Kathie Lee and Hoda have taken side jobs as bartenders just for the free drinks."

Fallon chimed in as well, saying: "The economy is so bad, Kendall Jenner just did a commercial for RC Cola. The economy is so bad, the CEO of Netflix is using his neighbor's password," Variety noted.

Leno also called the Trump "thin-skinned," joking that "if this guy was any more of a p****, he could grab himself."

The former host also had some jokes for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's marriage, NFL Quarterback Colin Kaepernick, and Caitlin Jenner, according to The Wrap.

Twitter users reacted to Leno's "Tonight Show" appearance.
