Holly Bobo: Murder and Rape Now Faced by All 3 Suspects

By    |   Thursday, 21 May 2015 07:26 AM

The Holly Bobo murder case took another step forward on Tuesday when a grand jury in Memphis indicted John Dylan Adams for premeditated first-degree murder, as well as Zachary Rye Adams and Jason Wayne Autry for aggravated rape.

According to NBC affiliate WSMV-TV, special prosecutor Jennifer Nichols, the Shelby County Deputy District Attorney, confirmed Wednesday that all three are now charged with the same murder, rape, and kidnapping charges. All have pleaded not guilty.

Bobo, a 20-year-old nursing student, went missing in April 2011, and two hunters later found her skull roughly 10 miles from Zachary Adams' home in September 2014.

A fourth person of interest in the case, Shayne Austin, died in February in an apparent suicide. Austin had been offered immunity for his testimony, but prosecutors rescinded the offer after he didn't fully cooperate, they said. Austin subsequently filed a civil suit against the state.

Before the discovery of Bobo's partial remains, Zach Adams and Jason Autry were indicted for her kidnapping and murder.
