Hillary Clinton's Chipotle Stop Noticed Only by Security Camera

Hillary Clinton stopped at a Chipotle during her 1,000-mile van tour to Iowa this week, but apparently no one recognized the now-declared presidential candidate.

A reporter for The New York Times got a tip that Clinton had dined at the fast casual restaurant in Maumee, Ohio on Monday afternoon, and soon called the store manager to find out if the stop had generated any buzz.

Just the day before, for example, Clinton had made friends with a family at a gas station, and posted a smiling photo with them to her Twitter account.

The Chipotle stop, on the other hand, didn't result in any photo ops or one-to-one campaigning.

The restaurant manager, Charles Wright, was initially skeptical that Clinton had even stopped by the restaurant, but upon reviewing footage from his security cameras, soon discovered that the former Secretary of State and first lady of the United States had indeed made a pit stop in his establishment.

"The thing is, she has these dark sunglasses on," said Wright. "She just was another lady."

He said that after telling his employees, they were "kicking themselves" for not being more aware. Wright, 29, said he was a Republican, and didn’t plan on voting for Clinton, but said missing the chance to meet her "really hurts."

Clinton ordered a chicken bowl with guacamole, a chicken salad, and fruit juice, said Wright.

On Monday, some Twitter users noted that Clinton's van tour in a vehicle she dubbed "Scooby" was a tactic she also reportedly used during her campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2000.
