Harrison Ford, dressed as a dog in a hot dog costume, shared with Jimmy Kimmel Thursday night his memories from his frightening March airplane crash.

In response to Kimmel's "I'm glad to see you alive" comment, Ford said he didn't recall much of what happened after he crash-landed his plane on a golf course seven months ago.

"I remember the engine stopping. I remember that part very well," he told Kimmel. "And then I remember telling the tower what I was going to do. And then I remember their suggestion. Their suggestion was that I take the normal route to land, and I knew I wasn't going to do that, so I said no. And that's the last thing that I remember until five days afterwards actually."

Kimmel asked if the veteran actor yelled "Fore" as the plane came down, but Ford corrected him, emphasizing the "d": "For-duh. Ford."

The actor, who also talked about "Star Wars," may be able to laugh about the plane crash now, but it was scary at the time. The National Transportation Safety Board found that a carburetor problem ultimately caused the plane to lose all power, forcing Ford to land.

The newest addition to the science fiction franchise, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," will open in theaters Dec. 18. Ford wasn't keen on talking too much about the movie, telling Kimmel, "Why would you say anything? I want the audience to experience it."

"I can tell you this — it's really, really good," Ford told Kimmel's audience to a burst of applause. "Trust me. It's really good. The new cast, Daisy Ridley, Jon Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, are phenomenal. J.J. has made an incredible movie. You will not be disappointed at all. I promise you."
