Fox News commentators Stacey Dash and Ralph Peters were suspended after using profanity while talking about President Barack Obama's terrorism speech from the Oval Office.

Peters went first. The retired lieutenant colonel and Fox News military strategic analyst was commenting on the Fox Business Network during a Monday interview with anchor Stuart Varney, said CNN.

"Look, Mr. President, we're not afraid," Peters said, responding to Obama's Sunday address. "We're angry. We're pissed off. We're furious. We want to see you react. We want you to do something. You're afraid. I mean, this guy is such a total pu***y it's stunning."

Varney pointed out the coarse language and solicited an "I'm sorry" from Peters for his remark, said the Washington Post.

"I do apologize for giving into my anger, but... I feel like you know the American people understand where I'm coming from on this," Peters said. "My choice of words was incorrect, but my sentiment, I think, is shared by many."

Dash appeared on "Outnumbered" a few hours later and used profanity that was partially bleeped, noted CNN.

"It's ridiculous," Dash said. "His speech was an epic fail. It was like when you have to go to dinner with your parents, but you have a party to go to afterwards, that's what it felt like. I did not feel any better. I didn't feel any passion from him. … I felt like he could give a sh** – excuse me, like he could care less."

Later in the day, Fox News announced a two-week suspension for both, said Mediaite.com.

"Earlier today, Fox contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air," said Bill Shine, executive vice president of programming at Fox. "Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks."

Dash issued a Twitter message after the suspension, suggesting that she didn't regret her comments.
