A British fisherman and his sister caught a lost GoPro camera in a lake, and its final images include an encounter with a crab.

A YouTube user who goes by the name Dan Rose posted a video from the device's SD card, which was apparently not damaged while sitting at the bottom of the lake, and the post has been viewed more than 2.5 million times.

Rose explained that the video was recorded on Aug. 13, 2015, as indicated by the video's metadata, and discovered about a year later on July 5. He posted the video publically hoping to find the owner and return the saltwater-damaged device.

In a follow-up video, Rose said he found the owner of the GoPro and was able to repair the device.

The owners of the GoPro lost it while diving off Lake Pier in Hamworthy, Poole, England, Digital Trends reported. Upon its recovery, it was covered in barnacles and saltwater had seeped through the housing and corroded parts of the camera. Luckily, the memory card on which the video footage was stored was not damaged.

The camera's owner, Josh White, from Raunds in Northamptonshire,t told he BBC that he lost the camera, which he was wearing on a head strap, after doing a back-flip into the water.

He attempted to dive down and recover the camera, but was unsuccessful.

Twitter users were highly entertained by the discovery of the camera, and the crab selfie it carried.
