The Final Four has a bunch of newbies and a real regular, as South Carolina and Gonzaga have reached the prized playoff for the first time, Oregon has been there once before and North Carolina is in for what’s now it 20th appearance.

It’s safe to say this isn’t your normal NCAA March Madness Final Four, which is where the word “madness” comes from.

There were more than 350 NCAA teams competing for bragging rights when the season started in November, but five months later the competition is down to four teams; the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, South Carolina Gamecocks, and North Carolina Tar Heels, explained ESPN.

Gonzaga beat Xavier in a blowout on Saturday to advance to its first Final Four.

Oregon advanced for its first time since 1939 after defeating Kansas, which was ranked better than them going into Saturday’s matchup.

South Carolina beat the Florida Gators on Sunday, making it to the Final Four for the first time in the history of its program.

As for North Carolina, it edged past the Kentucky Wildcats with a two-point victory on Sunday to advance to the Final Four for the 20th time.

Gonzaga takes on South Carolina on Saturday, and they’re going into the matchup ranked No. 1 compared to the Gamecocks’ No. 7 ranking, noted Bleacher Report.

North Carolina is coming into their matchup with Oregon as the No. 1 seed with the Ducks ranked No. 3.

“Anyone that’s in sports dreams of moments like this,” said Frank Martin, South Carolina’s head coach, following Sunday's win against Florida, said Fox News. “It’s not something that you start dreaming it the year you win 25 games. You dream it every single day.”

“I’ve been there 28 years. My first year on staff we won four Division I games,” Gonzaga’s Mark Few said Saturday, reminiscing on his time as an assistant coach. “And I mean this wasn’t even possible. And each year we got better and better, and then we got really, really good…And our culture is just so strong. And this was a culture win and a culture statement and (I) couldn’t be prouder.”

The Final Four will air on CBS on Saturday, with South Carolina and Gonzaga set to play at 6:09 p.m. and North Carolina and Oregon at 8:49 p.m.
