Dominic Di-Natale, a Fox News correspondent who covered stories for the network all over the world and just recently in Ferguson, Missouri, has died from an apparent suicide.

Di-Natale's body was found on his Colorado property near Denver, according to Variety. A friend had alerted authorities on Wednesday about Di-Natale's state of mind related to undisclosed health issues, Fox News reported.

Di-Natale worked as a contributor for the BBC News before joining Fox News out of its Los Angeles bureau. He was 43.

"We were extremely saddened to learn of Dominic's passing and send our deepest condolences to his family and friends," Fox News said in a statement. "He was an esteemed journalist and an integral part of our news coverage throughout the Middle East."

Fox News said Di-Natale reported for the network and other news organizations on Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan, demonstrations in Egypt's Tahrir Square and the riots in Ferguson.

Fox News said Di-Natale began his career as a magazine writer in Portugal in 1989 reporting on the drug trade in Europe. He started freelance writing in the United Kingdom in 1995 for several national newspapers before taking a position as correspondent for BBC World, working out of Brussels, Dubai, Frankfurt, London and New York, according to Fox News.

Fox News colleagues posted their condolences on social media.
