The Fox News Channel has signed Citizens United president David Bossie as a contributor who will offer analysis on Fox News and Fox Business during daytime and prime-time programming.

Bossie, President Donald Trump's former deputy campaign manager, was ranked No. 2 on Politico's top 50 most influential people in politics in 2015. In 2001, he became president of Citizens United, a conservative advocacy group that produced 25 documentaries with Citizens United Productions, according to a Fox News statement.

The Supreme Court's landmark Citizen United vs. the Federal Elections Commission decision in 2010 struck down limits on campaign expenditures by corporations, finding the limits an abridgment to free speech, according The Atlantic.

Citizens United was founded in 1988 and has more than 500,000 members and supporters, according to its website. The organization produces films, op-eds, videos, and is involved with grassroots organizing to support its view of limited government, freedom of enterprise, strong families, and national sovereignty and security, the website said.

Some of Citizens United documentaries under Bossie includes "Rocky Mountain Heist," "Occupy Unmasked," "Our Sacred Honor with Senator Rick Santorum," "The Gift of Life," "Nine Days That Changed the World," "Ronald Reagan: Rendezvous with Destiny."

Bossie served as the chief investigator for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Government Reform and Oversight during former President Bill Clinton's administration from 1997-1998, the Fox News statement noted.

He is the author of four books, including "The Many Faces of John Kerry," "Intelligence Failure: How Clinton's National Security Policy Set the Stage for 9/11," "Hillary: The Politics of Personal Destruction," and co-author of "Prince Albert: The Life and Lies of Al Gore."

"President Trump is with us, and that is the most important thing," Bossie said at CPAC last Saturday, according to Breitbart. "Elections have consequences, and you're going to see those consequences through conservative policy from this president, every day for the next four years."
