Crocs Eating Human's Lower Half Stun Tourists on Cruise in Zambia

British tourists were shocked to witness crocs eating a human body during a cruise along the Zambezi River in Africa.

Tour operators reported the incident after they came upon the sight in which the crocodiles were seen feeding on the lower half of a human.

The victim is thought to have been a poacher after a group of 13 suspected poachers was ambushed two days earlier by rangers and only nine returned, The Telegraph said.

“I suspect the man who was eaten by the crocodile was either injured during that shootout and tried to escape through the water, or he was shot in the water, and was already dead when the crocodiles ate him,” Trevor Lane of conservation group Bhejani Trust told The Telegraph.

The incident happened in mid-February, when the tourists were camping in the Siansimba area of Zambia.

Three children have been attacked by crocodiles in Zimbabwe during the past three months, and a large crocodile believed to be responsible for 10 deaths since 2010 was killed in eastern Zimbabwe last week, Canada Journal reported.

Twitter users commented about the story.
