Carson Huey-You, an 11-year-old child prodigy, will be beginning full-time college courses this fall at Texas Christian University where he will be studying to become a quantum physicist.

The child prodigy, who speaks Mandarin Chinese, plays the piano and solves calculus equations for relaxation, will be the youngest student the university has ever had, CBS 11 News reported.

Though he will not be staying on campus, Huey-You already signed up for a full coursework of college classes.

"I’m taking calculus, physics, history and religion. Those are my four classes," Carson Huey-You told CBS 11 News.

"It’s fun because it’s basically just like high school, but in a big campus…with a lot more people," Huey-You added as he toured the campus and prepared for his fast approaching first day of classes.

Having scored a 1770 on his SATs and graduated co-valedictorian of his high school senior class, Huey-You said he hoped to graduate in four to five years and earn a PhD before he's 20.

Huey-You applied to the university when he was just 10-years-old.

"He was completely off the grid when it came to even the most basic of things, like completing an application or completing a financial aid form," Dean of Admissions Ray Brown told NBC 5. "Because of his date of birth, those forms would not accept his application."

According to his mother, Claretta, her son had always been extremely focused in whatever task he pursued, adding that he was able to read by the age of 1, and doing pre-algebra by 5.

"Whenever you are like ‘Oh, that makes sense now,’ just kind of after going at it, going at it, it’s just kind of like that one moment of thought," Carson explains to CBS 11 News, referring to his interest in calculus.

According to Huey-You's family, it was the boy's choice to enter college at such a young age.

"I can't really think of anywhere else I'd rather be," the child prodigy told CBS 11 News.

Huey-You says he has already made friends around campus, adding in an interview with NBC 5 that despite his remarkable ability in the classroom, he is pretty much a normal kid, who enjoys playing video games and watching movies, his favorite being "Star Wars."
