Carrie Underwood's home was damaged during the tornado-bearing storm that tore through the Nashville area on Wednesday morning. She's okay, but chimney-less.

The country music superstar and former "American Idol" champion posted a tweet Wednesday about the damage her home sustained, quipping that it felt like her native Oklahoma, said The Tennessean.

Underwood and her husband, NHL star Mike Fisher, purchased the 354-acre home in Nashville back in 2011 for $3.2 million, according to the website Taste of Country.

Underwood grew up in Checotah in Oklahoma, a state often hit by tornadoes. In 2013 she was one of numerous country stars who shared their feelings on Twitter about a tornado that killed 24 and injured 324 others in Moore, Oklahoma, noted LiveScience.com.

The Tennessean reported that severe squalls and two tornadoes whipped through Middle Tennessee on Wednesday, leaving damage in what the newspaper said was the start of peak storm season.

The National Weather Service confirmed an EF1 tornado in Williamson County, north of downtown Franklin, from Fieldstone Park to Cool Springs, reported WZTV. The television station said while there were no reports of injuries, they found several power lines down and trees uprooted.

Radar indicated 100 mile per hour winds blew south of Brentwood along with an unconfirmed report of a car being lifted off the ground.

Storm damage was also investigated across including in Watertown in Wilson County, Lancaster in Smith County and Cookeville in Putnam County, reported The Tennessean.

"It's kind of a hodgepodge of areas where we're going to be looking at here over the next couple of days," said Justyn Jackson, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Nashville.
