Bobbi Kristina Brown's cause of death was immersion in water and drug intoxication, a Georgia medical examiner revealed Friday, but it could not be determined if her death was intentional or accidental.

A judge ruled Thursday that the final autopsy report on the only child of late singer Whitney Houston should be unsealed, following after a motion was filed by WXIA-TV's parent company.

Brown's death was eerily similar to that of Houston, whose death was ruled an accidental drowning at a California hotel in 2012, said the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Variety said the medical examiner's toxicology report found marijuana, alcohol, a cocaine-related substance, morphine, and medications used for sedation or to treat anxiety in Brown's system.

The medical examiner said water immersion combined with the drug consumption caused the Lobar pneumonia that caused Brown's death.

Brown, the daughter of Houston and singer Bobby Brown, was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her home in Roswell, Georgia, on Jan. 31, 2015 and pronounced dead six months later, said Variety.

The medical examiner, though, did not rule on the manner of death, saying it could not be determined of the death was intentional or by accident, according to the Journal-Constitution.

Bobbi Kristina Brown's conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, filed a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit against Brown's boyfriend at the time, Nick Gordon, claiming that she "died due to a violent altercation with Gordon after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture," reported Us Weekly.

Jose Baez, Gordon's attorney, charged then that the lawsuit against his client was "slanderous and meritless," said USA Today.
