Bigfoot is being blamed by an Idaho woman for her car crashing into a deer which was being chased, she said, by a sasquatch-like creature.

The unidentified 50-year-old woman said a bigfoot chased the deer in front of her car the night of March 22 as she was driving along Interstate 95, said Fox News.

The woman described the bigfoot as “a shaggy seven- to eight-foot-tall creature” that was apparently chasing the deer on the side of the highway, reported the Moscow-Pullman Daily News.

The woman told police, at the time, that she did a double take in her car mirror and the next thing she knew, the deer was in front of her Subaru Forester.

Despite the accident, she left the scene without any injuries and didn’t report the crash to local authorities right away. Instead, she waited until she picked up her husband from work that night before contacting the Benewah County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said they found no evidence of the woman’s claims regarding her bigfoot sighting.

According to police, the woman isn’t the first person to claim they spotted a sasquatch near the I-95, which is located by Moscow Mountain, squatchable.com noted.

What's the difference between bigfoot and sasquatch? Apparently they're the same thing.

According to Newsweek, bigfoot is the most common shorthand for Sasquatch and came about in 1958 when Gerald Crew made a cast of large footprints found near his bulldozer in California.

Sasquatch has become the most universally respected name for the enigmatic primate/person hybrid and came from indigenous peoples who inhabited the Pacific Northwest and parts of Vancouver Island, British Columbia – two regions that have yielded more recorded Sasquatch sightings than anywhere else.
