An intoxicated man led police on a high-speed chase in Ohio last month because he wanted to finish his McDonald's Big Mac before pulling over, he told officers when they finally captured him.

Police in Brunswick, Ohio responded to a call about a reckless driver at a local McDonald's around 1 a.m. Sept. 28. Upon arrival, they saw suspect Randall Miller, 31, blow a stop sign as he pulled away from the fast-food restaurant's drive-thru in a silver SUV, according to TheSmokingGun.com.

Officers attempted to pull Miller over but he instead led them on a brief, high-speed chase.

"I initiated a traffic stop and the subject failed to stop," Officer Clifford Smith wrote in the police report.

After a few minutes, Miller finally pulled over. When Smith approached him, the man reportedly slurred his speech and reeked of booze. Miller apologized to Smith, saying he "was too drunk and he just wanted to eat his Big Mac before he stopped."

Miller's blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit, Smith noted in the report. He was arrested on several charges, including driving under the influence and fleeing from an officer.
