One Reporter’s Opinion — If You Want More George Bush, Vote McCain

It is this reporter’s opinion that Albert Einstein had it right when he said, “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity.”

Looking at our current presidential candidates, one must question our stupidity. John “McAmnesty’ McCain, despite being the front-runner, has not swayed most GOP conservatives. They simply don’t like him.

If McCain is our next president, what will we get?

We will not get conservative Supreme Court nominees. McCain has said Supreme Court Justice Sam Alito is too conservative. We’ll get Souters and Kennedys but not Alitos.

We will get immigration amnesty, global warming warnings to strangle our economy, and just about everything else that you would expect from a liberal masquerading as a conservative.

It is this reporter’s opinion that a President McCain would be voting a third term for George Bush.

Bush raised his right hand and laid his left hand on the holy Bible, not once but twice saying, “I, … do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

He repeated the same ceremony twice. He then violated his oath of office and created a boondoggle of a legacy. He mounted $3 trillion onto our national debt. He oversaw the loss of millions of jobs, accelerating trade deficits, and foisted a complete fraud on us regarding national security from terrorism with his failure to secure our borders.

Bush, with his obsessive pre-emptive war on Iraq and Afghanistan, poured $600 billion down those rat holes.

Bush’s war inflamed the rest of the world against us. Over 75 percent of the troops from other countries have pulled out.

The war has maimed 29,000 of our finest youths who trusted his felonious judgment.

Every year, our U.S. Army military suicides rise. Dr. William Polk, author of “Violent Politics: A History of Insurgency, Terrorism, and Guerrilla War, from the American Revolution to Iraq,” told Congress, “More than 500,000 of our troops will need a lifetime of mental healthcare following their multiple deployments in Iraq.”

Instead of taking care of our economic business, Bush watched annual trade deficits grow to $700 billion — forced our country to borrow $2 billion daily to float our economy.

Bush stood by and watched 10 to 20 million more illegal aliens cross our borders while he said, “They come to do the jobs Americans won’t do”; meanwhile, our middle class has sunk into a new poor class in America.

McCain, like Bush, has a problem with Americans — they simply don’t like him!

The fallout from the Bush eight years in the White House gave us the following:

• The greatest foreclosure housing fraud in American history

• No national energy conservation policy

• No movement towards solving climate change

• No immigration policy that leads to a stable U.S. population

• Nothing advanced to employ 14 million unemployed Americans

• A horrific $10 trillion debt

Add to this skyrocketing fuel prices; Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare are bankrupting the country’s economy; and the war on drugs is a total and complete failure and a waste of $560 billion during Bush’s watch.

And now, Bush would dissolve America’s sovereignty by signing the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SSP) that would destroy our sovereignty and force us into the North American Union with Canada and Mexico.

This is George W. Bush’s legacy. It is a violation of his oath of office.

Meanwhile, Jed Babbin, editor of Human Events, says the media has created the fiction that McCain alone among the Republican candidates can beat Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.

This is fiction because only a conservative can unite the Republican Party and win. Says Babbin, “Call him ‘maverick,’ call him ‘independent,’ but please don’t call McCain a ‘conservative.”’

Unpredictable hothead McCain, when defending the McCain/Kennedy/Bush comprehensive reform, screamed, “F*** you,” at Texas Republican John Cornyn, one of the bill’s leading opponents.

He also told Republican Sen. Arlen Specter that he was a colorful anatomical term and referred to Sen. Charles Grassley as an “f***ing jerk.”

How in heaven’s name could this man possibly unify his party?

As one senator said, “There is probably more than one Republican senator who is supporting McCain’s presidential bid just to get rid of him.”

According to Numbers USA, nearly every time there is a choice, McCain “McAmnesty” Bush favors business lobbyists’ desire for foreign workers versus protecting American workers, wages, and jobs.

For six years after the 9/11 attacks, McCain held our border security hostage as he lobbied for amnesty. For the last two years, McCain and Kennedy were the key leaders trying to ram a path to citizenship for illegal aliens through Congress.

After his leadership for amnesty caused his presidential campaign to collapse, McCain said he got the message from the voters and no longer pushes the rewarding of illegal aliens ahead of everything else.

But first, McCain says reluctantly, “We’ve got to secure our borders.” Is it any wonder that we the people have seen through the Bush/McCain/Kennedy pro-amnesty in nearly two dozen votes and its cosponsorships?

I cannot forget it was Sen. McCain who concocted the first of the immigration bills that would provide amnesty to millions of illegals whose identities are unknown and unknowable.

If you want a third term for George W. Bush, cast your vote for Sen. John McCain!
