Even as he hailed by some conservatives, President Donald Trump will look to convince others he is truly one of them in a speech by before CPAC today.

Fox News noted "there will likely be as many optimistic conservatives…as there are suspicious" ones when Trump takes the stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

Some conservatives will never embrace him, according to Fox, which noted he was booed in 2011 when he addressed the conservative group and said Rep. Ron Paul "cannot get elected."

Trump did not attend the event last year because of presidential primaries and the group said the decision "sends a clear message to conservatives."

But CNN noted some conservatives are learning to love Trump even though he's no Ronald Reagan.

Reagan addressed CPAC 36 years ago and received a "jubilant reception," according to CNN.

"Our time is now. Our moment has arrived. We stand together shoulder-to-shoulder in the thickest of the fight," Reagan told the group.

"Trump hopes to engineer a pivotal political moment that will echo Reagan's," CNN reported.

Fox also noted Trump already appears to be gaining support from some influential conservative leaders.

Matt Schlapp, the head of the American Conservative Union, which holds the event, said Trump has been "pitch-perfect" with conservatives so far, Fox reported.

He praised Trump's Cabinet selections and his choice of Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway predicted he would turn CPAC to TPAC when he arrives.
