Eleven judges were nominated for federal and district positions by the Trump administration Wednesday, including for a post that was formerly held by newly appointed Supreme Court Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch.

According to The Hill, the list of judges was sent to the Senate to confirm them.

The full list of nominees:

  • Colorado Supreme Court Justice Allison Eid, 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
  • North Dakota's Ralph Erickson, 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
  • University of Pennsylvania Law Professor Stephanos Bibas, 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
  • Michael Allen, U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
  • Amanda Meredith, U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
  • Joseph Toth, U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
  • Dabney Friedrich, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
  • Timothy Kelly, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
  • Trevor McFadden, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
  • Stephen Schwartz, U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
  • Claria Horn Boom, U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.

If confirmed, Eid would replace Gorsuch. Eid was on Trump's list of potential Supreme Court nominees last year.

Carrie Severino of the Judicial Crisis Network called Wednesday's judicial nominees "a fantastic list," reports The Washington Times.

"Many of the nominees are well known in the conservative legal movement and have shown commitment to principled and evenhanded application of the law throughout their careers," Severino said, the Times reports.

"For the many Americans whose top concern in November was electing a president who would put committed constitutionalists to the courts, this is another major victory."
