President Donald Trump said Monday that North Korea has "got to behave," CNN reported.

The president made the comment during an appearance Monday at the White House's Easter Egg Roll. CNN’s Jim Acosta later posted a follow-up comment from the president about North Korea.

North Korea has been at odds with the U.S. over spring military exercises the U.S. holds with its rival, South Korea. The country displayed long-range missiles Saturday in a parade in central Pyongyang as ruler Kim Jong Un looked on. Officials there said that North Korea’s goal is peace, and that the missiles are to show its enemies that North Korea will not be overthrown easily.

Trump is stirring up tensions with North Korea with his words, North Korean official Choe Ryong Hae said Friday.

Last week, Trump called North Korea a "menace."

The next day he said that the U.S. and its allies were prepared to deal with North Korea.
