President Donald Trump Friday capped his inauguration festivities with stops at three official balls in Washington — thanking supporters and vowing that "now the work begins."

"Today, we had a great day," Trump said onstage at the Liberty Ball at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. "People that weren't so nice to me were saying that we did a really good job today.

"They hated to do it, but they did it. I respect that."

He called the crowd at the U.S. Capitol for his swearing-in ceremony "unbelievable" and noted the rain threat throughout the event.

"I looked at the rain, which just never came," Trump added. "We finished the speech, went inside — it poured.

"Then we came outside, the helicopter scene was an incredible scene," he continued, referring to the departures of former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden and their wives.

"An incredible scene. So beautiful. Like from a movie set.

"Then, amazingly, it rained," Trump said. "It's like God was looking down on us."

The crowd cheered.

Trump then thanked his wife, first lady Melania Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence before turning to business.

"This was a movement," the president said. "And now, the work begins.

"No games. We're not playing games. The work begins.

"We're going to be working for you," Trump added. "We're going to be producing results."

The First Couple then had their first dance — to Frank Sinatra's "My Way," sung by Erin Boheme, Nickie Conley and Jason Eskridge — before being joined onstage by Pence and his wife, Karen, and members of both families.

Trump and his wife then headed for Freedom Ball where the First Couple again shared their first dance to Sinatara's "My Way."

After, Trump and his wife headed for the Salute to Armed Services Ball at the National Building Museum, joining veterans, military workers and first responders.

They danced to Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You."
