President Donald Trump said coming to a deal on healthcare reform is harder than securing peace in the Middle East.

Trump made the remark to reporters on Air Force One during his Wednesday night flight to Paris.

"I'd say the only thing more difficult than peace between Israel and the Palestinians is healthcare," Trump said, The Hill reports.

"It's like this narrow road that's about a quarter of an inch wide. You get a couple [votes of support] here and you say, great, and then you find out you just lost four over here. Healthcare is tough."

On Thursday, Senate Republicans unveiled their latest version of a healthcare bill that is designed to repeal and replace the current Obamacare law. Lawmakers also postponed their August recess by two weeks in order to continue working on the healthcare bill.

"I think we're going to have something that's really good and that people are going to like," Trump said. "We're going to find out over the next — you know, we just extended for two weeks."
