President Donald Trump Friday ripped the "fake news" media on Twitter for "doing everything in its power to make the Republican healthcare victory look bad" and slammed Obamacare as "dead."

Here are the president's tweets:

The posts came as Trump continued his victory lap over Thursday's narrow passage of the American Health Care Act by the House on a 217-213 vote along party lines.

President Trump and fellow Republicans have since crowed that the AHCA marked the beginning of the end of President Barack Obama's signature domestic achievement.

They even celebrated in the Rose Garden at the White House, where Speaker Paul Ryan declared that the healthcare bill "takes care of our most vulnerable and shifts power from Washington back to the states and most importantly back to you, the patient."

But the AHCA faces a tougher road in the Senate, which has established its own working group to develop a proposal.

Republicans there have been lukewarm to the House plan – and Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio has said that he would not support the bill in its current form.
