President Donald Trump has deleted 22 tweets from his account since taking office in January, Gizmodo reported.

Most recently, Trump had promoted on Sunday his appearance on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" program, the website reported.

"The tweet was up for 9 hours before it was deleted," wrote Gizmodo's Matt Novak.

And, according to Novak, Trump also deleted another tweet where he incorrectly spelled the last name of then-Georgia Republican House candidate Karen Handel.

"And then there's the infamous 'Covfefe' tweet," he wrote. "It was obviously a typo of some kind, but we're still not sure."

All of Trump's deleted tweets were posted by ProPublica.

Trump's removal of the posts has already prompted a lawsuit by two watchdog groups, the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington and the National Security Archive, according to Politico.

The groups accuse the White House of violating the Presidential Records Act, which requires the preservation of certain White House communication records, Politico reported.
