President-elect Donald Trump plans to waste no time in getting down to business after taking the oath of office on Friday, NPR reports.

"I've asked my transition team to develop a list of executive actions we can take on Day One to restore our laws and bring back our jobs," Trump said shortly after the election. "It's about time."

Vice President-elect Mike Pence confirmed the Trump administration plans to hit the ground running.

"Our job is to be ready on Day One," Pence said. "We are all ready to go to work."

According to NPR, Trump plans to nominate a new Supreme Court justice within his first two weeks in office and order military commanders to come up with plans for fighting ISIS and cyberattacks.

But the initial priorities will also center on Obamacare, trade, and energy regulations, NPR reports.

Trump had promised throughout the campaign that repealing and replacing Obamacare will be the "first order of business." And Congress has already taken initial steps to repeal large portions of the health care law, according to NPR.

Trump has been highly critical of U.S. trade deals. He vowed during the campaign to renegotiate or toss out agreements such as NAFTA.

In addition, NPR pointed out, he has claimed President Barack Obama stifled development of fossil fuel energy.

"I will cancel job-killing restrictions on the production of American energy, including shale energy and clean coal, creating millions of high-paying jobs," Trump said in November.

CNN also reports Trump is ready "to get the show going."

"We will be signing some papers that will be very meaningful (on Friday) right after the speech to get the show going," Trump said.
