Donald Trump continued his Twitter attacks on Sen. Tim Kaine Saturday morning in the hours before Hillary Clinton was to formally announce him as her vice presidential pick, slamming him for his past support of the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal and saying he backs a "job killer."

Kaine, a Virginia Democrat, last week said he thought the TPP was an upgrade of environmental and labor standards, as well as intellectual property protections, reports The Hill,  but Trump, like many other TPP opponents disagreed.
Democrats are split on TPP, which President Barack Obama backs. Clinton does not agree with her running mate on the issue, nor does her former Democratic rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Obama wants the deal to pass even before he leaves office, and Kaine has supported fast-tracking the legislation.

Kaine wants the deal to get a Congressional vote, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said the chances of a vote are "pretty slim."

But Kaine's support of the legislation may not be set in stone. The Virginia Democrat has promised Clinton that he will also oppose TPP in the near future, reports The Washington Post.

Trump's running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, has also in the past supported TPP, saying it would help Indiana's industry more competitive on the world level.
