Annoyed over being ignored on roughly 200 letters since he took office, Senate Democrats sent another one Wednesday to President Donald Trump insisting that his administration start playing ball, The Washington Post reported.

Democrats have peppered Trump's administration for requests for information on a whole range of things — from the monotonous to the classified — and have been ignored on all of them, The Post reported.

Democrats say the White House is withholding information and instructing agencies to "refuse requests for information from Democratic members of Congress," read the letter, obtained by The Post.

"The fact that they just turn their back on oversight is part of a deeper syndrome, which is no respect for separation of powers, no respect for how the Constitution set up our government. It's going to hurt the country, and it's going to hurt them," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told The Post.

Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, who has fired off nearly 30 written requests himself, said it's beyond giving a new administration the benefit of the doubt.

"Everybody understands that in the first days of a new administration you're kind of finding your feet and may take a little bit of extra time, and people like me will acknowledge that," Wyden told the Post.

"This really feels like a pattern of just saying, 'We don't believe in getting back to Congress as they try to carry out their oversight responsibilities.'"
