Gorka: Trump Twitter Feed Can Put Pressure on China

President Donald Trump's Twitter feed could be useful in putting pressure on China regarding North Korea, according to White House Deputy Assistant Sebastian Gorka.

"We have the president's Twitter feed," Gorka said Thursday on Fox News' "America's Newsroom."

Host Bill Hemmer questioned whether a Twitter feed could change the minds of the Chinese leadership.

"If you can win a U.S. election with it, I think it's pretty powerful, Bill, don't you?"

Gorka pointed out, after the Mar-a-Lago summit, Trump had expected more action from China in dealing with North Korea.

"We have the most powerful man in the world making it very clear that we came out of the Mar-a-Lago summit with very high hopes . . . the president has made it clear: he is not satisfied; he is disappointed with what Beijing has done since Mar-a-Lago; and he wishes to see them step up to the plate," Gorka said.

Retired Lt. Col. Ralph Peters told "America's Newsroom" Wednesday he believed China would not take any actions against North Korea, but Gorka said China would not want North Korea to "destabilize the region."
