Infighting among congressional Republicans is putting President Donald Trump's legislative agenda at risk, The Hill is reporting.

Some are now fearful the collapse of the healthcare bill could doom future major legislation — it has some Republicans fearing 2017 could mean no Obamacare repeal, no tax reform, no trillion-dollar infrastructure bill and no border wall.

"I don't see how you put a coalition together to deal with tax reform," said one House Republican. "Unless we can bridge this divide and get a win on the board, I don't know how we pull the other things together, all the other big things we gotta do."

And Fox News' Sean Hannity observed: "There's a danger that infighting in the Republican Party could undermine the president's agenda."

"Republicans should control Washington. And they should have a unified plan to implement their agenda," he added.

But the infighting, touched off by the unsuccessful fight to get a Republican healthcare package through Congress and failed efforts to revive the bill, has not subsided, The Hill noted.

The healthcare battle left GOP conservatives at odds with moderates.

Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., the head of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, "is a pathological liar who isn't interested in getting to yes," one House GOP colleague told The Hill.

But Rep. Raúl Labrador, R-Idaho, a fellow Freedom Caucus leader, countered Meadows as "a man of great integrity."

"When members of Congress resort to personal attacks while hiding behind anonymity," Labrador said, "it's usually because their position is weak in the first place and they are getting heat back home for not keeping the promises that they made to their constituents."

Still, some Republicans remain optimistic and insist GOP lawmakers will come together.

"I still feel confident that we still will be able to move forward with our plan," Rep. Vicky Hartzler R-Mo., told The Hill. "The American people deserve it and they want it, and we're certainly committed to it."
