Hillary Clinton maintains a six-point lead over Donald Trump after having clinched the Democratic nomination, according to a CBS News poll.

Clinton leads Trump 43 percent to 37 percent, the same margin from CBS' poll results from back in May.

CBS News reported that when Libertarian Gary Johnson was added to the poll, the results were:

Breaking down the demographics of the CBS News poll reveals a huge advantage for Clinton with black voters, and Trump with a slim lead among Independent voters.
  • Black voters: Clinton leads 77 percent to 4 percent
  • Independent voters: Trump leads 37 percent to 35 percent
  • Millennials: Clinton leads 40 percent to 29 percent
  • White, no college degree: Trump leads 50 percent to 29 percent
  • White, with college degree: Clinton leads 51 percent to 30 percent
CBS said the poll surveyed 1,280 adults nationwide, including 1,048 registered voters.
