A Republican nonprofit has placed radio advertisements in 10 states, targeting senators - vulnerable Democratic and hesitant Republican - to support the repeal and replacement of Obamacare.

One Nation, a group controlled by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s allies, started Monday with a launch of print, digital, and direct mail ads, Politico reported.

Sixty-second radio ads target five Democrats who are considered vulnerable in 2018:

  1. Bill Nelson in Florida.
  2. Debbie Stabenow in Michigan.
  3. Claire McCaskill in Missouri.
  4. Sherrod Brown in Ohio.
  5. Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin.

The ad contains a female narrator that says, "We’re paying more and getting less," and calls for repealing Obamacare’s "$1 trillion in tax hikes."

Another ad aims at Republican senators who have signaled that they are not fully in agreement with repeal and replacement, such as Orrin Hatch in Utah, Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander in Tennessee, and Lisa Murkowski in Alaska.

That ad attacks Obamacare, then praises the senator.

“Tell her to keep fighting to repeal and replace the Obamacare mess,” the ad that supports Murkowski says.

One Nation spokesman Ian Prior said that voters in the states where the ads are running are in favor of repealing and replacing Obamacare.

"In the states where One Nation has polled and is running ads, there is a clear preference for Obamacare to be repealed and immediately replaced with something that focuses on lowering the cost of health care," Prior said in Politico’s report.

Other Republican nonprofits including American Action Network are also launching ads to urge lawmakers to repeal and replace.

That network, affiliated with House Speaker Paul Ryan has spent $7.4 million in ads supporting repeal, the Washington Examiner reported.
