A military office that supports the White House shells out $130,000 a month to rent space in Trump Tower — where President Donald Trump has yet to spend a night since he become president, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Citing lease documents from the General Services Administration, the government signed a $2.39 million, nearly 18-month lease to rent a 3,475-square-foot space in the glitzy Tower where Trump, first lady Melania Trump, and son Barron lived.

At that lease price, the space is the most expensive in Trump Tower, the Journal reported. The runner-up top-dollar listings in Manhattan of approximate equal size weigh in at $50,000 per month, Street Easy reported.

The White House Military Office, separate from the Secret Service, provides services that the president must have access to by law — including medical, food, transportation and communication services, the Journal reported.

The office also is responsible for holding on to the so-called nuclear football in case the president needs to authorize a nuclear attack.

The rental does not put any money in Trump's pocket, however, the Journal reported.

"To alleviate your principal concern (i.e. that the president of the United States might financially benefit from the lease effort), please know that this residential space is privately owned, and that lease negotiations have been with the owner's representatives only," James MacStravic, the acting undersecretary of defense for acquisition, technology, and logistics wrote in a March 3 letter to Rep. Jackie Speier, D-Calif., according to the Journal.

The Journal reported, although the name of the property owner is redacted on the contract, the GSA lease inventory lists the owner of the space in Trump Tower as Joel Anderson, a businessman originally from Alabama and a neighbor of Trump's in the building.
