Utah's Mia Love may be the first black female Republican to be elected to the House of Representatives, but she has just one word to say about Hillary Clinton running for the presidency in 2016: "Nope."

Love is not only the first black female Republican in the House, but the first Haitian-American, reports People Magazine,  which is releasing a full interview with the new congresswoman-elect on Friday.

And while she's normally an outspoken conservative, she refused to elaborate further about Clinton, who has not yet announced her intentions for the 2016 presidential race.

Love, a married mother of three, entered politics after a wide-ranging career that included aspirations of becoming a music theater star, reports People.

She gave up that career when her wedding date in 1998 conflicted with an audition, and after that held jobs as a flight attendant, a fitness instructor and as a call-center manager before she entered politics after organizing forces against a home developer over an insect infestation.

She's heading to Washington after serving for six years on her town's city council and one term of its mayor, but says she didn't run for the House to make history.

"[It] wasn't important to me – it's certainly not why I ran," she said. "I wasn't elected because I'm female or because I'm a certain color. We wanted to make sure we were focusing on issues."
