Hillary Clinton was already struggling to make her email problems go away, but now, in the wake of her husband's clandestine meeting with Attorney Gen. Loretta Lynch, that endeavor just got exponentially worse, Chris Cillizza writes in the Washington Post.

"There might have been no way — in lots of peoples' eyes — that Clinton could be fully exonerated on the email controversy even before this Bill-Lynch meeting. But, if there ever was that chance, it's gone now," Cillizza wrote.

Even though Lynch has admitted the meeting wasn't a good idea, and has recused herself from the investigation, anything short of an indictment from the FBI would give Republicans the "Aha!" moment that they can pounce on and exploit, Cillizza writes.

And Hillary Clinton will be stuck between opponents who want blood and the American people surveyed who think "honest and trustworthy don't apply to Clinton," Cillizza writes.

"This whole mess created by Lynch and Bill Clinton will only make those numbers worse, further exposing Hillary Clinton's biggest weakness in the eyes of voters. And she has her husband to 'thank' for it," Cillizza concluded.
