Kellyanne Conway, the White House counselor to the president, said in a new interview she is enjoying her job as one President Donald Trump's closest advisers.

Conway sat down with The Hollywood Reporter and talked about her role in Trump's inner circle that has evolved from campaign manager to counselor.

"I'm the face of Donald Trump's movement," Conway said.

That public-facing job, however, has led to insults thrown her way on what she calls "the public cesspool that is Twitter."

Users have called her "ugly, stupid, liar, meth queen," Conway told the Reporter.

She even has Secret Service protection now because of death threats she had been receiving.

Conway said she enjoys pitching Trump's ideas and explaining her boss' thoughts and decisions — even if that means, as the Reporter noted, appearing on as many as six morning shows before 9 a.m. during the week.

"Have I told you how sick I am of me?" she said to the Reporter's Michael Wolff.

Conway turned down several offers from Trump to serve as his White House press secretary before ultimately deciding to work as counselor to the president. The job meant she had to move to Washington during the week and return to her home in Alpine, N.J., on the weekends to see her family. Later this year when a new school calendar begins, however, she is hopeful her husband and four children will be able to move to D.C. with her.

Conway told the Reporter her job description does not mean she spends all of her workday on TV. Her role is rather private, except when Trump asks her to make the rounds.

"If you see me on TV, it's because he wants me there," she said.

Conway caught some flak for using the term "alternative facts" during an interview last weekend that revolved around Trump's insistence the media misrepresented how many people attended his inauguration.
