When it comes to income inequality, Joe Biden has raised concern in recent conversations that Hillary Clinton's background will not allow her to be a credible messenger on the issue, possibly encouraging the current vice president to jump into the presidential race, The Huffington Post reports.

While Biden's family members are supportive of a presidential bid, a former adviser who remains close to the vice president says his wife, Jill Biden, is hesitant at this moment as she continues to grieve the death of their son, Beau Biden, in May.

The Huffington Post notes that before he passed, Beau Biden, 46, encouraged his father to make a third run at the presidency and Biden reportedly sees a possible campaign as a way to promote his son's legacy and the issues he stood strongly on.

White House officials have tried not to show any leanings concerning the prospect of a Biden run, but White House press secretary Josh Earnest said that, "there is probably no one in American politics today who has a better understanding of exactly what is required to mount a successful national presidential campaign."

Apart from family concern, Biden says that he is waiting to see how the current Democratic primary process plays out.

According to a Democratic fundraiser who has met with Biden aides, his final decision to run will likely come in late September. However, another prominent Democratic fundraiser suggested that his decision could come as late as early October, in the weeks leading up to the first Democratic debate.
