Outgoing Vice President Joe Biden issued two challenges to Democrats at a private fundraiser Wednesday night, according to Politico — get your act together, fight against "abuse of power."

Speaking at a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee event in D.C., Biden said Democrats must increase their numbers in Congress, but also figure out how to reach the millions of Americans Hillary Clinton failed to connect with, Politico reported.

"It's time to talk about it ... lay it out ... everything that we are for," Biden was quoted by Politico.

Further, Biden called upon Democrats to fight against abuse of power, noting this week's clumsy attempt by House Republicans to get rid of the Office of Congressional Ethics, Politico reported.

"The worst sin of all is the abuse of power," Biden purportedly said.

Biden also told the 120 or in attendance that he would remain involved, according to the Politico report.

"I'm leaving, but I'm not going to be quiet," Biden was quoted as saying.
