Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump said that her father is a supporter of feminism.

"It's a big reason I am the woman I am today," she said in the UK's Sunday Times Magazine.

Ivanka Trump is an executive vice-president in the Trump Organization. She is the daughter of the likely Republican presidential nominee and his first wife, Ivana, and is a mother of three. In the interview, she expressed her own support for feminist ideals.

"I believe 100 percent in gender equality, so, by definition, that makes me a feminist, which I am very proud of," she said.

Ivanka Trump said that her father instilled in her the value of hard work, while providing her with mentorship from other women.

"He always told me and showed me that I could do anything I set my mind to if I married vision and passion with work ethic. He's also surrounded me with strong female role models who have done just that since I was a little girl," she said in the Times interview.

She credited her father with hiring women at high levels in his organization, saying, "People talk about gender equality. He has lived it. I think it's a great testament to how capable he thinks women are and has shown that his whole life," she said.

Trump has made comments that women have said are not supportive to their causes.

London's Telegraph is keeping a running list of comments Trump has made about women, including in 2015 when he called Megyn Kelly a "bimbo."

The Washington Post looked at Trump's views on women from his 1997 book, "Trump: The Art of the Comeback."

"There's nothing I love more than women, but they're really a lot different than portrayed. They are far worse than men, more aggressive, and boy, can they be smart," Trump said in one chapter of the book.

CNN reports that a group of Republican women have organized to support Trump's Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton.
