Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has enlisted Indiana Gov. Mike Pence for a campaign ad ahead of the Tuesday primary in that state, according to a report in the Washington Examiner.

In the campaign video posted on YouTube the Indiana governor calls Cruz a "principled conservative who's dedicated his career to advocating the Reagan agenda."

Pence wrote about his support for Cruz in an article for the Indianapolis Star, in which Pence noted his support for several of Cruz's plans, including lowering and simplifying taxes.

"This is an exciting time for Hoosiers," Pence said, referring to the nickname of the state's residents. "The eyes of the nation are looking to Indiana to make a choice."

Indiana has been the source of a number of mistakes by Cruz and his opponent Donald Trump. Reuters noted that Trump misspelled Bobby Knight, the famed basketball coach, as "Bobby Night." And Ted Cruz called a basketball hoop a "basketball ring."
