Democrat Hillary Clinton is losing millennials, a new Harvard University poll shows.

In a poll conducted by Harvard's Institute of Politics (IOP), Clinton leads presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump by nearly two to one and Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson three to one of America's young voters.

Here are the results:

Among young likely voters ages 18 to 29:
  • Clinton: 45 percent; down sharply from a Spring survey.
  • Trump: 23 percent; an insignificant decline from the Spring results.
  • Johnson: 13 percent; wasn't included in the Spring poll.
In a one-on-one competition:
  • Clinton: 54 percent
  • Trump: 28 percent
  • Uncommitted: 18 percent
In April, Harvard's Institute of Politics poll showed Clinton ahead 61 percent to 25 percent for Trump, with 14 percent undecided

Trump supporters are happier with their choice.
  • 36 percent are "very enthusiastic" about Trump.
  • 21 percent said the same of Clinton.
Asked about the state of U.S. politics and government:
  • 48 percent said "significant reform is needed."
  • About 30 percent agreed that "we need to find a reset button and start again."
  • 1 percent believe "things are great and we should not change a thing."
Supporters of Trump are more likely to want a reset, at 41 percent, compared with 18 percent each among Clinton and Johnson backers.

Despite Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders' endorsement, according to The Hill, a recent poll showed 48 percent of young Sanders supporters would back a third-party candidate over Clinton, while 13 percent would go to Trump.

Harvard's IOP poll surveyed 1,001 people aged 18-29 from June 21-July 3, with a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percent.
