Outgoing Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid continued his assault on James Comey on Monday, accusing the FBI Director of being "partisan" for reopening the investigation into Hillary Clinton, which ultimately cost the Democrats the White House and the Senate.

Democrats "would have won the majority in the Senate and would have won the presidency but for Comey," the retiring Nevada Democrat told CNN.

Further, Reid says Comey was privy to information about the Russians hacking the election, but did nothing about it.

"It's obvious he was a partisan in all this," Reid told CNN's Manu Raju. "There's information out there. He had it, I'm confident. And he ignored it."

Reid on Saturday called Comey "the new Hoover" and said he should resign for failing to turn over what he knew about the Russians impacting the election.

"Comey, who's a Republican, refused to divulge this information about Russia interfering with the presidential election," Reid said on MSNBC.

Reid continued to bang that drum Monday.

"I am saying the FBI did nothing — did nothing," Reid told CNN. "All the information that we've heard in the last couple weeks, it was available to the FBI. He just ignored it . . . We asked him to more than once and he didn't do it."
