The woman who infiltrated last week's GOP retreat in Philadelphia and secretly recorded conversations between high-ranking Republican officials has been identified.

According to The Hill, officials will not publicly release the woman's name or provide details about her. She reportedly pretended to be the wife of a congressman and was able to get into the closed-door event.

The woman recorded conversations between lawmakers and also a speech by Vice President Mike Pence, and she had access to a room where President Donald Trump, Pence, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and other officials were. The recordings were sent to several media outlets, including The Washington Post

"Someone trespassed at an event where the president and the vice president were present. That's certainly concerning," Rep. Carlos Curbelo, a Florida Republican who was at the retreat, told The Hill.

The fact that an unauthorized person was able to get close to the president is a major security issue.

Rep. Tom Reed (R-N.Y.) told The Hill the woman's actions could prevent open conversations between officials.

"It violates future opportunities to discuss policy candidly," Reed said.

The security breach occurred last Thursday. The woman, who used counterfeit credentials to gain access to the retreat, was removed from the event at 6:30 p.m.
