The Rev. Franklin Graham Tuesday called for prayer and healing as President Donald Trump began his first full week in the White House, "whether you voted for him or not."

"The election is over, the inauguration is over, and the #WomensMarch is over," Graham, the son of famed evangelist Billy Graham who led a prayer during last Friday's inauguration, said on Facebook. "Now, President Donald J. Trump is facing his first full week trying to solve the problems and challenges that he has inherited.

"Let's join together and pray for him and Vice President Mike Pence as they tackle these problems one at a time.

"Whether you voted for him or not, it doesn't really matter," Graham continued. "He is the president.

"And if he is only able to accomplish half of what he has said he would like to, we will be a better nation," he added. "Prayer does make a difference."

Graham ended his post with by quoting portions of 1 Timothy 2:1-2 of the New Testament: "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority."
