A House Democrat said Friday President Donald Trump threw a jab at Rep. John Lewis, a vocal Trump opponent, in his inaugural speech.

"Not John Lewis; just don't go there," Rep. Emanuel Cleaver said, reports The Hill.

During his inauguration speech, Trump said, "We will no longer accept politicians who are all talk and no action — constantly complaining but never doing anything about it. The time for empty talk is over. Now arrives the hour of action."

Lewis led a group of dozens of House Democrats who did not attend Friday's inauguration on the front steps of the building in which they work.

He was vocal about his disdain for Trump, saying in a recent interview he did not see Trump as a "legitimate president."
