Electoral College voters have been inundated with phone calls and emails from people pleading for them to not vote for Donald Trump for president on Dec. 19.

Wyck Seelig of Michigan said he has received over 45,000 emails since Trump was elected on Nov. 8.

"It is sort of not surprising," he told The Washington Times. "[Hillary] Clinton ran a campaign that said it would be the worst thing in the world and perhaps the world would come to an end if Donald Trump became president, and of the 60 million that voted for her it is not surprising that a tenth of the people that supported her would believe her — and they are scared."

Florida's Tony Ledbetter gets about 10 phone calls per day and, so far has received 71,000 emails, but said he no longer listens to or reads the messages. Electors’ names have been published online along with some of their contact information, but the result hasn’t always been a positive one.

One voter from Michigan told CNN on Nov. 30 that he has received death threats.

Some voters have said publicly they would not vote for Trump, even if the popular vote in their state tipped his way. But others are sticking with their constituency's pick.

"It doesn't bother me," Ledbetter told The Washington Times. "I am more relaxed today than I have been in 20 years because I know we have elected the right person, and he is going to save the country."
